Parish Nurse Ministry
The church has a role in the ministry of health and healing which began when Jesus sent out His disciples to preach, teach, and heal.
Parish Nursing promotes wellness of body, mind, and spirit to all members of Bethel Lutheran Church and the community. The parish nurse integrates the concept of wholistic care into his/her nursing care and ministry, stressing health maintenance and illness prevention.
The parish nurse will provide leadership in identifying and meeting the health education and support needs of all members of Bethel Lutheran Church. The parish nurse requires the ongoing support from the congregation, Health Cabinet, and clergy.

Grief and the Holidays – November 9, 6:30 p.m.
The holidays can be a very difficult time for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. You are invited to join us for one of the following groups to learn some helpful and compassionate tips that may assist you as you navigate the holidays after your loss. Feel free to invite others who might benefit from this gathering. Refreshments provided. Learn more here.
Blood Donation Challenge – Month of November
A Blood Donation Challenge can be a friendly competition among family, friends, colleagues, or groups in our community with the goal of seeing who can get more people to participate and donate blood within a specified time frame. More donations equals more saved lives.
During the challenge, team members must simply check in at one of our donation locations with their team name; this ensures their donation is counted during the competition. Once the challenge has ended, the group with the highest percent participation wins. Easy as that! Learn more here.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
“Shawls are symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving God. They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter, and beautify. Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed…”
