On Ash Wednesday, March 1st, we begin our annual mid-week worship services at 12 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The theme for our midweek services this Lent at Bethel is “Jesus Meets Us…” Weekly dramas will invite us to meet the people Jesus encountered along their journey: Mary, the boy who helped feed 5,000, a vendor in the temple, Mary and Martha, a Pharisee’s wife and a sinful woman. Worship will include the liturgy of Holden Evening Prayer and homilies that tie together the dramas and the bible readings. Holy Week will also include meaningful worship experiences including a return of The Last Supper drama to be shared at the evening worship services. As Lent prepares us to encounter the cross and the empty tomb, you will discover again how Jesus meets you on your journey and offers you forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation. Please set aside a time each Wednesday beginning March 1st for worship together.
